Explore the 300 acre US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte where you can do your favorite outdoor activities. The center offers whitewater rafting, kayaking, on the artificial channels and flatwater kayaking on the Catawba River, along with climbing, and trail access for bikers and runners.

 

Reservations are recommended for most activities; however, there is no fee for parking or to walk the grounds and observe.

Race fans?  Check out the Richard Petty Driving Experience.  You can have a Ride-Along or Driving experience.  Some dates are still available in the upcoming weeks.  Held at Lowe's Motor Speedway, you'll remember this experience for a long time!

Metrolina Expo Trade Center is just up the road.  The Largest Antiques and Collectables show on the east coast is held on the first weekend of everymonth.  There are other events throughout the month often with no admission charges.
